These arrangements formed the basis of backing tracks for live performance - with a lot of the synth strings, drums and additional elements from the fully produced album versions removed. What we did keep, however, was the 'real' violin, viola, cello, fiddle, mandolin, banjo etc: from our recordings.

After an unfortunate incident, Charlie Darling disappeared, hauling his collection of Lilac Time albums behind him, leaving us with just a few Al Stewart records for company. This is when we decided to up sticks and form 'The Midnight Sailors.' These tracks were recently rediscovered in a shed somewhere in north Norfolk and we felt we should put it out there - just in case anyone is interested. Les B's.
